http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/ http://swik.net/Fedora-Core%2FUninstalling+Fedora+Core <p>There can be problems with uninstalling <a class="wikilink" href="http://swik.net/Fedora-Core">Fedora Core</a> and installing WinXP, as the <a class="wikilink" href="http://swik.net/Windows">Windows</a> installer is broken and has problems installing over existing Fedora installations.</p> <p>Here is a way to fix <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-20449.html">this kind of problem</a>:</p> <p><strong>Warning:</strong> this will prevent Fedora from booting up properly, so only do this if uninstallation is really necessary.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Boot</strong> into <a class="wikilink" href="http://swik.net/Fedora-Core">Fedora Core</a>.</li> <li><strong>Run</strong> the command: <code>dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=1058576 count=100</code> (<em>where hda is the master boot drive</em>).
