my company business card/logo design critique

Hello everyone,

I have been assigned the task of creating an updated look for our architecture firm. We mostly do multi-family house and historical preservation work. This is what i have for the business card with the new logo compared to what we currently have. I was wondering if i could get some feedback/opinions on the card.... more importantly when i try and take the design and create a universal logo for all of our marketing stuff its falling way short and need serious help because this has been me for some time now :duh:

I've been reading blogs around the .NET community lately and there seems to be some serious confusion about what exactly REST is. Is it a SOAP replacement? Is it a definition of how to prepare data for consumption by AJAX clients? And what does it have to do with all this new MVC stuff we've been hearing about? What is it exactly?
